Camping

This was clear back in August- Dev worked a crazy schedule all summer but he took a Saturday off and we went camping up A.F. canyon with some friends. This is up at Silver Lake. We hiked up with our friends Spencer and Michelle. It's a fun hike and an amazing view at the top.

More Baby Showers

I've had two more Baby showers in the last couple weeks. My friends did one and then we also had a combined Cahoon shower with Devan's cousin who is due one week before me. I'm horrible at taking pictures and I know someone at least took pics at the Cahoon one, but I haven't gotten any of them yet. I did take a few pictures of gifts we received though.
This is the diaper bag and changing pad/diaper holder that Megan and Halie gave me. They are both so stinkin cute. Megan's sister had a business selling baby things and she made both of these. We've had a lot of really cool baby gifts made for us. I'm very amazed at everyone's talents. I'm feeling pretty good if I can just sew in a straight line.

Here's a few of the really cute outfits we got for baby Clayson. The furry snow suit thing is from my aunt Kate and my cousins in Washington. That will be so nice to have especially since it's been so cold this winter. The adorable cowboy shirt and onesies are from my friend Maury. I'm so glad other people were able to find cute cowboy clothes cause I haven't really been able to find any. The outfit on the right is from his Aunt Cassidy and soon to be Uncle Greg.

Here are a few more outfits. The two on the right are from my Aunt Arin. The horse one is from my Aunt Lacy and her boys Owen and Will. She's also pregnant and baby Luke is due the week after Clayson. I'm sure Owen and Will are going to make sure they grow up tuff. Will already tries to punch me in the stomach everytime he sees me. He's only two but he's pretty strong so I always have to grab him so my baby doesn't get a head injury before he's even born. The one on the far right is from Gramela Pamela and my Aunt Codee.

Here's a few more of the homemade gifts we received. The blanket in the back was hand sewn by Clayson's great grandma Cahoon. On the bottom right is a blanket and burp cloth made by Dev's aunt Chris and on the left are some super cute burp cloths made by my cousin Jessica.
Thanks everyone for all the great gifts we've received. There's a lot of other great stuff I just put it away before I thought about taking pictures. And and especially big thanks to Aunt Jill, Grandma Cahoon, Ky, Ashley, and my Sister in law Chelsey for hosting the showers. We love you guys!

Truck Derby

Devan did a Truck Derby back in September. Something is wrong with our computer and I haven't been able to load pictures on here so sorry it's taken forever.
So here's the truck.. I was kind of sad to see it get turned into a derby truck. I love old trucks and we only paid 100 bucks for it. I kind of just wanted to fix it up and keep it, but we had a lot of fun at the Derby so I think it was worth it. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that I was on the pit crew. I know that's kind of scary... The truck is a stick and one of the times he got hit he was shifting and it messed up the clutch. When we were working on it after the first round my job was to climb in the truck and try to start it to see if the clutch was engaging. They have to weld the doors shut so my big, pregnant self had to repeatedly climb in and out of the back window. I'm sure it was quite the sight. Luckily I only got stuck once and it was kind of dark then so I don't think too many people saw.

Here's a picture of the actual derby. He got a few good hits in before his clutch got messed up. We thought we had it fixed in time for the last round, but then we couldn't get it to start. He knows what he needs to do to get it running better so we'll probably be back up at the Logan truck Derby again next year.

Baby Shower

So far I haven't done a very good job at keeping this updated. For some reason I can't get pictures to upload when I try on my computer. I'm on another computer now so we'll see how this goes...

I had my first baby shower this last Saturday. My sister in law Chelsey and my mom put a lot of work into it and they did an awesome job.
My mom put this quilt together. She made the tractor and put it on there and then had everyone help tie it at the shower.

This pictures are a little blurry but that's the sign my mom made to go above the crib.

You probably can't hardly see them but we're holding the super cute quilts Chelsey made for us. She made one for me and one for my mom so she has one when she's babysitting.

Thanks to everyone who came and for all the great baby stuff we got. He's going to be one spoiled kid.

Ultra Sound pics

8 weeks- I know this picture doesn't really look like anything, but I think it's cool to look back and see how much they grow in such a short period of time.

16 weeks- He was sleeping when we got this ultra sound one. They had to keep poking him to get him to roll over. He's actually quite stubborn. It was fun to see his little personality as they were bothering him while he was asleep.
20 weeks- He was definitely not sleeping this time. They couldn't get him to stay still to take pictures. His arms and legs were always all over the place. I'm pretty sure there's definitely at least one leg in this picture and maybe an arm but it's hard to say for sure.

He's definitely a boy!

I had to put this one so you can see that he does in fact have two legs despite how it looks in his profile picture.

So I'm hoping his belly is just at a weird angle and that's why it looks so big. If not we've got a little chunky monkey on our hands. That's a leg by the way even though it kind of looks like an arm. Well that's all the pictures for now. They said he looks really healthy. I do have to got in for another ultra sound when I'm 28 weeks because my placenta or something along those lines... is in the wrong place. My doctor says it usually moves into the right place but they just want to make sure. So maybe we'll have a few more ultra sound pictures in a month or so.

Weekend in Logan

I created this blog 6 or 8 months ago so I figure it's about time I post something. Earlier this summer I got a phone call from Devan- he said he had great news. That statement usually scares me. I believe we got a couple of hound dogs last time he said that...anyways it was different news this time. He proceeded to tell me that Alex Anderson, his old mission companion from Logan, had found him the perfect demolition derby truck. We went up to the derby last fall and Dev was on the pit crew for Alex and he's wanted to actually be in one ever since. So we ended up buying an old '69 ford for $100 that had been sitting in a field for the last 10 years.
This last weekend we went up to Logan so Devan and Alex could get this truck ready for the derby on September 18th. They got it running, ripped out the dash, and probably some other important things but I couldn't tell you what. They still have to weld the doors shut and move the gas tank, but they'll just do that the day before the derby.
Working on old trucks is not exactly my field of expertise so I went shopping while the boy worked on the truck. I also went and visited my aunt Cory. It was fun to visit with her and see all her projects she's been working on.
That night we went up to Preston, Idaho to watch their Demolition Derby. It rained a lot and there were a couple of times I was afraid we were going to get struck by lightening but we still had a blast. Devan's even more excited for his derby now.
Dev hot wiring his new Derby truck.
This is the Preston, Idaho derby. Devan will be doing the same thing on September 18th.
Getting rained on at the derby.
